Which AI Hardware Companies Lost Favor in June 2026?

Which AI hardware companies fell out of favor in June 2026?

In 25 years of stock research, high media sentiment about a company tends to forecast higher future stock returns versus companies with lower sentiment.

The attached image is an analysis of 29 AI supply chain companies, using the MarketPsych MCP on news, social media, and transcripts. Each company is ranked against its own past 12 months of media sentiment. A few highlights:

• Near their 12-month sentiment highs: HPE, Dell, Applied Materials, and Intel.

• Near their 12-month sentiment lows: Broadcom (the sharpest one-month decline in the group), Super Micro (the only large company whose overall coverage is negative), Digital Realty, Vertiv, and Coherent.

• NVIDIA accounted for 21% of everything written about these 29 companies, yet its sentiment sits mid-range and was flat on the month.

• "Buzz %" in the table is each company's share of all media attention across the group, combining news and social volume.

From HPE's latest earnings call:

"AI inference is going to be an accelerator of our demand"

~ Antonio Neri, CEO, HPE (Q2 FY26 earnings call, June 2026)
